Who am I?
I'm Danny Peters. But since you're here, you know that already. I know lots about HFC and telephony networks, having worked in the UK cable industry since it was young. I have seen it change and grow a great deal. Recently however, I decided to take my analytical and logical skills to pastures new.
I spend my spare time on my motorbike, attempting arty photographic things, and even shooting bows and arrows. All things I've been doing to varying degrees all my adult life. I'm lucky enough to have great friends and family too.
What am I doing?
I work for a company called Orangetree Development now. In the middle of 2010 I left my job of 14 years to take a new role at a small but growing software house. The change is allowing me to learn something new with people I like, somewhere I can make a difference.
We do some exciting stuff! Well, exciting if you like that sort of thing anyway. Funnily enough, I'm absolutely loving it. Instead of counting the hours down each day now, I'm finding myself suddenly realising it somehow got late and I should eat.
